Introduction[edit]

Hi, I'm Ian. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Management Economics and Finance and will be starting my fourth year at Guelph in the fall.

Personal Life[edit]

I was born in Washington DC, but moved to Canada and grew up in Oakville, Ontario, where I live with my parents and two younger brothers.

Education and Academic Career[edit]

High School[edit]

I attended Holy Trinity High School in Oakville, and graduated with academic and community involvement awards. I was also a member of the school Soccer and Track & Field teams.

University[edit]

When I first started at Guelph, I was in the Bio-Medical Sciences program. After first year, I decided that there wasn't much of a future for me in science, so I switched to Economics and Finance and what a good decision it turned out to be. As boring as economics can be, I actually enjoying learning about it.

Hobbies[edit]

Sports[edit]

I've played competitive soccer my whole life and it is the sport I'm most passionate about. I also enjoy watching hockey, football, tennis and UFC.

My favourite sports teams are:

  1. Manchester United - The most valuable franchise in all of sports.[1]
  2. Toronto Maple Leafs
  3. Baltimore Ravens

Travel[edit]

I enjoy travelling and have set foot on every continent except South America, which I plan to cross off my list during the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. My favourite countries I have been to are:

  • England
  • Australia
  • Tanzania
  • India
