Curt Bessette (b. ca. 1955 - ) is a singer, songwriter and music teacher based in York, Maine.

He has produced a series of self-published albums to critical acclaim.

He has won numerous awards and appeared at many folk music festivals.

In addition to performing as a solo act, he has organised and worked with several rock cover bands - The Names (now defunct), and currently The Curt Bessette Band. He has been a dogged host of Open Mike nights, or "Hoot Nights," having logged over 500 weekly events. He also teaches guitar, bass and mandolin to students at a wide range of skill levels, from beginners (of any age) to advanced fingerstyle and other modes.

Curt is also involved in "giving back" to the community, with regular appearances at SASS benefits, and his contribution to the Seacoast Concert for a Cure CD project[1].
