Eugene Opera is an opera company located in Eugene, Oregon. It is a resident company of the Hult Center for the Performing Arts. The General Director is Mark Beudert; the Artistic Director is Andrew Bisantz.[1]

In 1977, Eugene Opera staged its first production—Carmen—in a high school auditorium. From 1978-1979 through 2008-2009, the company presented two, three, or four operas annually, except for 2006-2007, when only The Pirates of Penzance was produced.[2] Between 2009-2010 and 2014-2015, each season consisted of only two productions. An expanded season of four operas is scheduled for 2015-2016.<ref>Eugene Opera receives sizable grant
