Elias Abela[edit]

Elias Abela (1750–1815) was born in Acre in 1770. Son of Thomas Abela, Elias attempted to continue his father’s buissiness in Acre, but was unsuccessful due to an eye handicap. He wasunable to develop his father’s fortune and was forced to live off of his father’s heritage.

Elias had three sons, Francis, Thomas and Youssef.
