See Wikipedia:Footnote3.
Notes[edit]
- ^what label? Text of footnote 1. Invisible tags make the link between ref and note, but the optional visible labels can be changed.
- ^label 3 Text of footnote 3. The order of the notes are entered manually and can be changed or sorted.
- ^label 2 Text of footnote 2.
- ^ Text of footnote 4. When optional labels are omitted, this is how the note looks like.
- ^a ^b ... in this way.
Complex Ref/Note System[edit]
Use of complex ref/note tags: requires three parameters: reference name, number (or label), and id. Each ref tag in the text is matched to a note tag in the footnotes.[11] Unique combinations of parameters reference name+id [22] are used to create a clickable link to a matching note[33] template placed at the footnote locations.[] It is possible to concatenate several different references[Smith 2000:55] to the same note.[Smith 2000:66]
Notes[edit]
- aaa Text of footnote 11.
- ccc Text of footnote 33. The order of the notes are also entered manually and can be changed or sorted.
- bbb Text of footnote 22.
- ddd Text of footnote 44. When number is omitted, this is how the note looks like.

Content Footnotes[edit]
Content footnotes are used primarily for comments on the text,[click] in contrast with source notes. The Template:Cref marks the point in the text where the footnote is inserted.
Notes[edit]
Ideally, the "Notes" section should immediately precede the "References" section, if both are kept separate. Alternatively, rename the section as "Notes and References".
