Alfweard (Wessex) (disputed) May not of even ruled as king of Wessex, son of Edward the Elder and older brother of Athelstan. May of ruled for up to 16 days in 924.	924 as king of Wessex not England	No known depictions of Alfweard in the 1000+ years since his reign. May be one in existence, it is currently unknown and also unknown what he looked like.
Athelstan (Wessex and England) Athelstan was the last king of Wessex and first king of the English. He ruled for 3 years as the Anglo-Saxon king of Wessex but gained the whole of England by 927 and was named king by Wales and Scotland.	924-927 as king of Wessex not England 927-939 as king of the English

Edgar I Also known as Edgar the Peaceful he was son of Edmund I and would also be known as Edgar the Peacable. His death in 975 is know by many as the end of the Anglo-Saxon era when in reality it lasted until 1066.	959-975 as king of the English
Edward the Martyr Sometimes labeled as Edward I or II, king of the English from 975-978, murdered in his castle, sometimes labeled as St. Edward the Martyr.	975-978 as king of the English
Athelred the Unready (first reign) Sometimes labeled as Ethelred II as their was an Ethelred/Athelred of Wessex from 865-871 just before Alfred who is sometimes labeled as an English king making this king Athelred II.	978-1013 as king of the English (first reign)
