My experience[edit]

Religion is that which can be held by heart, and brings welfare to all creation in the world. Religion is eternal, and it is for all. There is no separate form of religion. Religion is above caste and community. Communal religion is the religious precept, and religious precept is the rule of right living of man, which is for the good of man. The scriptures are the collective form of religious precepts. All communal religions have scriptures.

The name of my communal religion is Hinduism, which real name is Sanatan Dharma. It is basically Vedantic religion. The main scriptures of the religion are the Vedas and the Upanishads, belong to the Vedas. According to Hindu belief, the Vedas are revealed by Para Brahman. Ramayana and Mahabharata are Hindu epics. The Bhagavad Gita is part of the Mahabharata. There are also Puranas, Agamas, Dharmasastra, Dharmasutra etc. But it's a pity that Puranic scriptures, caste system and Brahminism have created confusion within Hinduism. This has given rise to various theories about the Creator, which is an ominous crisis for Hinduism. Verily the Creator of the universe is One, There can be no equal to Him, or no one can be His partner. In the Upanishads he is referred to as "one and unique", and named Brahman. Although some Upanishads refer to Brahman as Vishnu or Shiva. Brahman is formless. Brahman has no birth and death. He is changeless and eternal. He is the pervasive, infinite, eternal truth, consciousness and bliss which does not change, yet is the cause of all changes. Everything, including gods and goddesses, is the creation of Brahman and lies in Brahman.

Vedas and Upanishads mention some Mahavakyas about Brahman. The essence of all Mahavakyas is "He is One and Unique, He is Prajna, He is Atman, He is Divine, He is All". But Brahman is referred to as Saguna and Nirguna. Brahman's Saguna form is Ishvara. Bhagavan is the guide sent by Brahman, Who are considered as avatars of Vishnu or Shiva.
