The discography by Marilyn Manson, an American industrial metal band formed in the early 1990's, [1] consist in eight studio albums, one live album, one compilation album, two EP’s, twenty-two singles, 4 DVD’s and thirty-one music videos. After singing a contract with Interscope Records and Nothing Records, the band published their first album, Portrait of an American Family (1994), for which they received a gold certification by the RIAA, [2] followed by their first Remix Album, Smells Like Children (1995), which won gold and later platinum certification. In 1996, the band released their second album, Antichrist Superstar, wich reached the third position on the Billboard 200[3] and the fifth position in the list of sales in New Zealand, [4] also the band won several gold and platinum awards in various other countries. [5][6] In 1997, the band published Remix & Repent (1997), a Remix album which contains some remixes for «The Beautiful People» and live songs performed during, the Dead to the World tour, and an acoustic version of the single «Man That You Fear». The third album from the band Mechanical Animals (1998) reached the first position at the Billboard 200,[3] the ARIA and the CRIA; [7] it also took the position number three in the New Zeland[7] and Norway charts, [7] the albums also received positive critics and various platinum certifications. [8]Mechanical Animals was later followed by their first live album called The Last Tour on Earth (1999), and the only single realesed to promote it was «Astonishing Panorama of the Endtimes» which was also later featured in the "Celebrity Deathmatch" soundtrack.

For 2000, the group released Holy Wood (In the Shadow of the Valley of Death) (2000), which managed to sell more than 9 million copies,[9] making it the biggest selling album of the band receiving several gold and platinum certifications.[10] The single «Disposable Teens» reached the number seven spot in the Italian sales chart.[11] In 2003 the band released their fifth album, The Golden Age of Grotesque (2003), which is characterized by the more comical and fun style, [12] the band took in that era, and topped the Billboard 200 in the number 1 spot,[3] and in many other countries including Switzerland, Austria, Belgium and Italy. [13] The single «Mobscene» was one of the most listened songs in Switzerland and Denmark, [14] and also got many gold awards in different European countries. [15][16][17]

Their sixth album, Eat Me, Drink Me was realesed in 2007 and occupied the second and fourth position in the lists of Austria and Switzerland and the eight sopt in the Billboard, Manson described this album as “more melodic” and had a regular acceptance by his followers.[18] Their most recent album, The High End of Low (2009), took the fourth position in the US and Canadian charts[3] and was also one of the most listened albums in Internet. [19], By 2009 Manson started recording their eight studio album, wich was realesed three years later by the name Born Villain and managed to enter in the top ten Billboard album sales.
