Wikipedia is not fanfic, and should be neutral with verifiable sources. Wikipedia shouldn’t be used for advocacy, especially of fringe theories.

For example, user UWDawgs believes Wikipedia should serve as his personal fanfic page, and removes neutral facts and sources from NCAA. UWDawgs even imposes on Wikipedia readers content that is contrary to his own University’s official stance on national championships.[1]

Neutral point of view [2]

  • All encyclopedic content on Wikipedia must be written from a neutral point of view (NPOV), which means representing fairly, proportionately, and, as far as possible, without editorial bias, all the significant viewsthat have been published by reliable sources on a topic.
  • Due and undue weight
  • Article structure
  • Content Forking
  • POV pushing

    • POV-pushing is a term used on Wikipedia to describe the aggressive presentation of a particular point of view in an article, particularly when used to denote the undue presentation of minor or fringe ideas.
    • The term 'POV-pushing' is primarily used in regard to the presentation of a particular point of view in an article, including on talk page discussions.
