My name is Gary Burd and I am Director of Scientific Services at Caudex Medical, a medical communications agency based in Oxford, UK.
I have 12 years of medical communications and scientific publishing experience. I joined Caudex as Director of Scientific Services after starting as a medical writer in 2003. Prior to this I was an editor with Portland Press.
I have a particular interest in innovative communications and have worked on a variety of non-traditional communications including workshops, booth activities, websites, videos, augmented reality and meetings with audience response systems. I have led strategic communication planning, publication planning and KOL development programmes in several therapy areas, including diabetes, solid tumour oncology, haematological malignancies, transplantation, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and respiratory and lung disease.
