The Penataquit Creek is a creek in the hamlet of Bay Shore, in Islip, New York. It starts just south of Spur Drive South, passes underneath the parking lot of the Westfield South Shore mall, and empties into Great Cove on Long Island.^[1]

The word Penataquit comes from the Secatogue language.
