Welcome to Esperanza![edit]

Welcome, Delta Tango, to Esperanza! As you might know, all the Esperanzians share one important goal: the success of this encyclopedia. Within that, we then attempt to strengthen the community bonds, and be the "approachable" side of the project. All of our ideals are held in the Charter, the governing document of the association.

Now that you are a member you should read the guide to what to do now or you may be interested in some of our programs. A quite important program is Stressbusters, which seeks to support editors who have encountered any stress from their Wikipedia events, and are seeking to leave the project. So far, Esperanza can be credited with the support and retention of several users. We will send you newsletters to keep you up to date. Also, we have a calendar of special events, member birthdays, and other holidays that you can add to and follow.

In addition to these projects, several more missions of Esperanza are in development, and are currently being created at Esperanza/Proposals.

If you have any other questions, concerns, comments, or general ideas, Esperanzian or otherwise, know that you can always contact Natalya by email or talk page. Consider introducing yourself at the Esperanza talk page! Alternatively, you could communicate with fellow users via our IRC channel, #wikipedia-esperanza (which is also good for a fun chat or two :). If you're new to IRC, you may find help at an IRC tutorial. I thank you for joining Esperanza, and look forward to working with you in making Wikipedia a better place to work!

signing[edit]

but what if i sign them and then they vandalize my userpage 'cause they're mad at me? I will sign them if i have to, but i usually prefer to remain anonymous. thanks for the reminder. Ilikefood 16:22, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

I've been warning users for a while now, and never had this problem as of yet. Even though user page vandalism happens, it does happen so seldom that I don't think you will in retrospect consider it a any problem. If you want to read the guidelines for signing, see WP:SIG. I'll even add your userpage to my watch list in case something happens under my guard. ;) --Delta Tango | Talk 16:32, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

I'm probably just being paranoid. Thanks. =^) Ilikefood 16:35, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

Thanks![edit]

Hey, thanks for the compliments regarding my Barnstar; as I told Konman72, I've totally been feeling like a huge nerd because I've been obsessively updating, expanding and merging like EVERY Dune page I can get my hands on! Anyway, just wondering: you say you've been watching my edits lately, do you just have a lot of Dune pages on your watchlist, or have you tagged my contributions page, or have you found some other way? I've been trying to look through recent edits myself ... Hey, thanks again! TAnthony 18:10, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

I have some Dune pages on my watchlist, and curious about users contributing to Dune pages, I took a look at you contributions. I was amazed of how many copyedits, some good restructures of paragraphs and minor edits you've done. I can appreciate that. Delta Tango | Talk 18:30, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

Re: In response to your greeting[edit]

Hi. I half-expected your message to be a warning about uploading untagged material (I'm working on a discography at the moment).

So what's new in the world? — Shoejar 05:22, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

Cleanup tag for Lingerie Football League[edit]

Hi Delta Tango, you taged LFL for cleanup... can you specify the kind of cleanup, the article needs? Thanks!

Weapon X (de) 02:32, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

Well. It could use one or more sections and the "with lots of pictures" comment behind the external links seems out of place. And I think the article could describe critiscm the league has received if noticeable. I must admit that one of my reasons for saying this is, is a slightly bad conscience from having been forced to revert this edit. Though I'll leave it here to be decided by others. Delta Tango | Talk 11:39, 8 October 2006 (UTC) (copying to the article talk page)
See Talk:Lingerie Football League for my reply. (Please feel free to edit the list/answer my comments, if you disagree with something.)

Edit warning[edit]

Thank you for experimenting with the page Online poker on Wikipedia. Your test worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. ~ PHDrillSergeant...§ 22:21, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

As far as I can remember, I've never done any edits to Online poker, at least in the last few months. I figure you've done a mistake. :-) Delta Tango | Talk 22:24, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
I'm reporting the bug. I was using Vandalproof2. I do apologize, you may remove my warning at any time. ~ PHDrillSergeant...§ 22:50, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for your response[edit]

Hi, Delta Tango. I am Meno25. Thank you for your response on my question here. I, on contrary to what you think, does not underestimate Wikinews and Wikibooks. I only said that these projects wastes the efforts of the Wikipedia community. I think that a few excellent projects like: Wikipedia and Wikitionary is better than many good projects. I only wanted the Wikimedia Foundation to provide Wikipedia for download. Providing the Wikipedia database for download is a must.
