Lain FAC spamming[edit]

Hi! Just letting you know that Serial Experiments Lain is up at FAC again. As you participated in the last one, I thought you might want to know. Happy holydays!--SidiLemine 12:17, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

FTs[edit]

Really, I don't mind either way. I was just sticking my nose in. Tony 07:24, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

CE[edit]

Hi Dec, i noticed you do work at the WP:LOC and was hoping you could help me out with an article. I've been working on Slayer the past few weeks getting it up to FA par. Sandy said the references and layout are fine and it's just the prose that needs work which contains quite a few choppy sentences/sections. If you don't have the time or it isn't an area of your interest then no problem, as copy editing can take awhile. Thanks for your time :). M3tal H3ad 09:05, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

Wow, didn't realize the prose was that bad :O. Thanks for taking the time to give it a look greatly appreciated :).M3tal H3ad 09:32, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
Just saw your message, thanks for offering to help. IMO the only thing it will get objections for is the prose because its well referenced, laid out etc. I did my best copy editing it using Tony1's guides, but it could still use some work. Thanks again, seems you're quite busy copyediting FAC's :P M3tal H3ad 06:54, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

Another CE[edit]

Hi, I recently nominated the AC/DC article to FAC and the main issue we have is the prose. I left a message in the WP:LoCE page and User:Random Passer-by ce'd the article but we still have problems. It will be great if you take a look at the article, or if you know someone that might be intrested on this topic. Thanks. No-Bullet (TalkContribs) 00:34, 9 January 2007 (UTC) BTW, the FAC page is here: Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/AC/DC. Cheers. No-Bullet (TalkContribs) 00:35, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

Re:FF Anticruft project[edit]

Thanks. I actually have exams for the next week but I have a couple of days off after those are done to really work on stuff. Axem Titanium 03:27, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

Copyedit request[edit]

Hi. I've been working on Black Isle's Torn for some time, trying to get it to featured article quality. I think the article is coming together, but as a general practice, I get articles copyedited by one or more people before sending them to FAC. I've tried doing it myself, but since I wrote the entire article from scratch, it's nearly impossible for me to find the (undoubtedly numerous) instances of clumsy prose. It would be great if you could take a look at it if you have a chance. Thanks. JimmyBlackwing 14:41, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

  • Huge thanks for the help. I tried to take care of the queries you made, but I'm not sure how effective I was. JimmyBlackwing 04:16, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

Metal Gear Solid copyedit[edit]

Hey there, Metal Gear Solid is currently a featured article candidate, and a number of users have requested a copyedit. Your work on Final Fantasy VIII is great, and you were suggested, so do you have the time to copyedit the article? The article looks very likely to be featured, it just needs a good copyedit to finish it off. --TheEmulatorGuy 03:27, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

Christ Illusion[edit]

Hi Tyler, User:Tony1 suggested that you are very good at giving articles a copyedit so I thought I should message you. Judging by the above I can understand if your bogged down at present, but if you can help when your less busy I'd be real grateful. Thanks for your time, and any help you may be able to give. LuciferMorgan 11:45, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the help, which is heavily appreciated by the way - if I can repay the favour somehow feel free to message me. I still have small pieces of info to integrate into the recording section, and I still have peer review concerns to address within the article - the lead section is the main one, which I'm no good at. Once I've addressed those concerns, would I be able to message you again to give it a quick look? Once again, thanks for everything. LuciferMorgan 00:53, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
I've added all the other info I can think of for the article, which is in the 2nd and 3rd paragraphs of "Recording" and 1st paragraph of "Marketing and Promotion". If you could take a quick look at these sections I'd be real grateful. Can you? All I need to find now is someone with expertise in the writing of lead sections... LuciferMorgan 03:39, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

Peter Jennings[edit]

Hey there! I'm trying to ready this one for FAC. I was wondering if you mind taking a quick look at the prose to see if you think it's ready. If it's not too much trouble, would you mind copy-editing the article? I've started a peer review if you wish to comment. Thanks! Gzkn 02:23, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

Heh sounds good. Thanks so much, and good luck with the anti-cruft projects! I loathe cruft as well. Gzkn 02:28, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
No problem! As far as "tapped" goes, I believe I was using it correctly (see here)...:) Gzkn 03:40, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

Two left[edit]

I'm finishing up my work on The Empire Strikes Back. All of the sections are done except the Releases and Reaction sections (which I'm having trouble with and if you have a suggestions for any additions, I'd appreciate them). So I was wondering if you would copyedit the article before I submit for FAC? The Filmaker 21:41, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

XI Beasties[edit]

I'll definitely take a look at it, but I really am not an expert by a long shot - haven't played the game in about a year and am really not familiar with the newest of the beasties. You think it would be horribly controversial if we just merged it into the XI article as a whole? I still have a ton of work to do on that article and could give it a go. -RaCha'ar 20:51, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

Re:Creatures of FF[edit]

Sorry, I don't. I guess the Clan Primer from FFXII and some of the other in-game lore (Shinra's Bestiary in FFX-2 also comes to mind) could be used as primary sources. Other than that, I can't read Japanese but you could try to find a copy of the Ultimania books and get someone to translate it, maybe. Also, I don't think Tiamat is prominent enough to get its own entry. Maybe merge into the "Other" section? Axem Titanium 22:17, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

Not a bad idea. Go for it. Axem Titanium 22:36, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

Cleaning up after page move vandalism[edit]

Hey, don't forget that, after you revert page moves that are obviously vandalism, you can speedy the remnant nonsense redirects under CSD G3. — TKD::Talk 05:50, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

By the way, in the future please save screenshots in the PNG format - screenshots lose a lot of quality when saved in the JPEG format. —Remember the dot (t) 03:57, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

Final Fantasy types of Magic[edit]

Not offended, but please do explain to me what in the world you mean, when it was just a simple listing and explanation of what each spell does. Not to mention, a whole listing of where you can find substitution Magic for each Job Class in Final Fantasy X-2. Also, you're telling me when I listed perfect proof that those spell names and info were in fact non-fiction, you're going to claim it is fiction? You're an Administrator, haven't you even played the series?
--LuvLuv G2000 08:07, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

Crap! Dec, you do have a point. I did not mean to forget about the Dial-Up users. That, in point was my mistake and I shall not do this again. Thank you, for hearing me out. Um, would it still be ok (or not) to list within, the game's magic itself? or will it be allowed in the magic listing that you have shown me? Or not at all? Some people may want to know what each spell does. No, I won't make up the spells, because that would start to make the page look like a fan site, which Wikipedia is not.
--LuvLuv G2000 22:46, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
Thank you, and I shall do so.

Featured topic[edit]

How hard do you think it would be to pass the following articles off as a Featured Topic called "Star Wars characters"?
