Alternate Accounts of Dcheagle

Note: When most of these accounts were created I was a young Wikipedian who was stupid to make so many accounts however none were used to commit vandalism except for XRSCXRaiderX (my first Public networks only) which was compromised and blocked as stated here. Out of seven accounts all but four have been deactivated, out of those four two are Doppelganger accounts and wont make any edits. The other two are used one being my Public networks only account with the other as my primary alternate. I welcome anyone to file an SPI at anytime to confirm this.

Policy

Legitimate uses of alternative accounts

Alternative accounts have legitimate uses. For example, longterm contributors using their real name may wish to use a pseudonymous account for contributions they do not want their real name to be associated with. If you use an alternate account, it is your responsibility to ensure that you do not use it in a forbidden manner. Segregation and security Some editors use alternative accounts to segregate their contributions for various reasons:

1. Since public computers can have password-stealing trojans or keyloggers installed, users may register an alternative account to prevent the hijacking of their main accounts. Such accounts should be publicly connected to the main account.
2. Users with a recognized expertise in one field might not wish to associate their contributions to that field with contributions to articles about subjects in which they do not have the same expert standing, or which they consider less weighty.
3. A person editing an article which is highly controversial within his/her family, social or professional circle, and whose Wikipedia identity is known within that circle, or traceable to their real-world identity, may wish to use an alternative account to avoid real-world consequences from their involvement in that area.
4. An editor might use an openly declared alternative account to carry out maintenance tasks to simplify the organization of such tasks.
