User:Daniel Mietchen/Sandbox/Open science task force

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I plan to approach Open science articles in a systematic manner and am currently exploring possibilities of how best to go about that. Please feel invited to join in.

Some of the structural options include, in order of my current preference

  1. Starting a task force on Open science as part of the WikiProject Science. However, that project is not very active (e.g. apparently no real Science collaboration of the month for around 3 years).
  2. A WikiProject of its own
  3. A WikiPortal of its own

To get things started, I am working on a list of topics that would fall under the realm of this initiative, and I have set up a user box open access that editors can use to signal their interest.

An interesting related development is the deployment of mw:Article feedback, as explained here (see also Special:ArticleFeedback). This would allow to get help from readers in assessing article quality.
