Hi Chris , will be grateful if you can provide a little bit of help regarding the following. How to notify that a particular section in an article is Original Research. Thanks--Liberal Democrat 11:26, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

Socks[edit]

Hi Chris, I suspect that Fredadams, Whyediteverything, Fanofdesiree2, Myohmy, Fanofdesiree are all socks of the same person, all are SPAs editing Desiree Horton and all have the same rather abrasive fannish attitude and writing style. Any way to check further to confirm? AKRadeckiSpeaketh 21:11, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

Awww, ty[edit]

Thank you dear for the smile, I know you're busy, and I just feel horribly guilty by bothering you with things, so that's why I've restrained myself, lol. I hope you get some extra time soon and we can have a good long chat! Just let me know! Miss ya! ArielGold 18:18, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

I just want you to know how much your continued support means to me. Honestly, that you take time out to check up on things, and always offer your support, means just so much to me. If your schedule weren't so full I'd demand you "coach" me lol. But, as it is, every day I'm digging deeper, getting into other new areas, (I've been doing a lot of work with WP:AFC lately,) and learning more. The infrastructure is so huge, I don't think it is possible to ever know everything, lol, but hey, I'm trying! As always, any time you drop by, I'm going to rush over here and say hello! Hey[edit]

How do you tag SPA accounts in AfD with the SPA (this account has made few or no edits) template? I've put in a statement about someone in the new Don Murphy AFD, but I'm missing the exact template. SirFozzie 18:20, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

G8 template[edit]

I see that you are in an edit war with an anon and as a an admin i don't think it is prudent for you to continue. I personally do not think the EU should be included as the G8+5 attend meetings and so do heads of other international organizations such as the WHO and the AU so unless we include all of them, which is in my opinion pointless. We cannot include just one. So shall we start this new debate or are there going to be a continued edit war between an anon and an admin.--Lucy-marie 14:56, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

I am not in an edit war. I am enforcing the consensus as discussed at the talk page of the G8. I could not personally give less of a damn either way. The only reaon I am involved is to enforce the previous reached consensus. I spent days and days and hours of reserach mediating the initial conversation and after pages and pages of discussion, that was the consenus reached. Leave it seperate from the real 8 however include it. Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 15:00, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

Are you willing to participate in a new discussion?--Lucy-marie 15:04, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

I would rather not activley participate because it could give the appearance of a COI. I activley stand by the fact that I have no personal preference either way. however would gladly read through/help determieng a final consensus and faciliate if need be as well as enforcing the final decision. Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 15:10, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

Your "you have been blocked" template[edit]

... seems to be breaking talk pages. See: User talk:216.229.196.218. The background seems to keep going, eating up subsequent templates. Mike.lifeguard | talk 15:25, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

I use the standard {{test5}} template to notify blocking. I also subst my templates so it is likley somebody probably made a change to the page that messed it up. Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 16:37, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

Lucy-marie[edit]

I don't have the energy or inclination to deal with this right now, but this is bordering on WP:POINT and as you've previous experience of the G8 situation I figured you'd be the best person to speak to:

See also One Night In Hackney303 14:53, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

These edits were made removing unsourced additions to the G8 including the EU, I am not willing to revert all the edits as they were made under being bold. I am also willing for a wider debate on the member states etc in the G8 etc. I also dislike the way ONIH is refusing to talk directly to me and is deleting comments I have made on ONIH's talk page. I am willing to talk but am not willing to be abused and bullied by any user. I look forward to debating and not revertions and personal attacks. I hope this is understandable.--Lucy-marie 15:30, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

Ack![edit]

Chris! I need youuuu, lol. I'm getting this funky message at the top of every page, related to the status changer script you installed for me, and I've got literally no clue how to fix what's broken, lol. Here's what the message says:

You seem to be using outdated versions of Topaz's Wikiscripts. While you may opt to hide this message until the next major update (or until you clear your cookies), you should strongly consider updating them to take advantage of the new features and bug fixes. In particular, the following scripts could use updating:

  • clone version 0 (latest is version function objectClone(deep) { var objectClone = new this.constructor; for (var property in this) { if (!deep) { objectClone[property] = this[property]; } else if (typeof this[property] == "object") { objectClone[property] = this[property].clone(deep); } else { objectClone[property] = this[property]; } } return objectClone; })

If you get some time, can you fix it for me? Here are some of the pages it links to: User:Topaz/Wikiscripts/Installation, and User:Goyston/Status Changer Installation. I know you're super busy, but you're the genius who installed it, and I've got no idea what to change, lol. I'm so sorry to bug you with this, and it isn't urgent, but if you can figure out what needs to change, that would be spiffy. ~*Hugs*~ ArielGold 03:25, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

I could not deal with that spam, every single page that big box popped up, even though it said I could hide it, it showed up on every darn page. Anyway, I removed the topaz script for now just to nuke that annoying box, but I know I'll miss the status thing, lol. I sure hope you can figure it out, I tried messing with it, following the directions, and nothing worked, so I just am completely clueless, lol. ArielGold 04:29, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

@task -- question about declining speedy deletion[edit]

In this edit, you removed the speedy deletion tag I placed and the hangon tag User:Vpdjuric placed, commenting that asserts notability and is cited. if notability is contested, please take to afd. I don't dispute that the software is notable, but I placed a "db-advert" tag because the article read like an advertisement. I'm starting to work with Vpdjuric on the article talk page about how to de-advert the article, and it's probably best that the deletion be declined and the tag be removed unless that effort fails, but I'm confused by your edit summary. Thanks. -- ArglebargleIV (talk) 19:59, 14 December 2007 (UTC)

Bernard Hart[edit]

why delete Bernard Hart creator of biggest UK sporting brand Lonsdale (clothing) when Phil Knight (created US Nike) and Adolf Dassler (created Adidas) have articles. Hart is very noteable also for being Jewish as here in Germany Lonsdale have big right wing, I don't understand logic here ? Hans Detler (talk) 20:28, 14 December 2007 (UTC)

Eva Bacharach[edit]

Hi, I have been creating these pages in line with Wikipedia:Jewish_Encyclopedia_topics. The Jewish Encyclopedia of 1913 is public domain and so no copyright applies. I'm pretty sure I put a tag to this effect in the Eva Bacharach page. I'll give it a rest for now, but the page should really be resurrected in some way, it's part of a project that WP asks for.--Lopakhin (talk) 19:18, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

RE: Biting/csd tagging[edit]

  • You wrote:
Please ve very carefull when nominating pages for speedy deletion. You nominated the article on Battle of Olompali for speedy deletion less than a minute after creation. Many editors will start an article with an info box, save it to make sure it looks ok then add content (which appears to be exactly what has happened in this case). here at 19:14 the article was created. Less than a minute later at 19:14 you tagged it for speedy deletion. 2 minutes later, the edior addes content. THis is biting, please be much more careful as this can easily scare of valid contributors. Thanks! Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 19:19, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
1. That particular user has been contributing for 5 months, I would hardly call them a newcomer. 2. So, when tagging pages which are obviously not appropriate, would you like me to hold off for 10 minutes? How on earth would all of us keep track of pages that might be candidates for speedy deletion? If I'm out tagging new pages for deletion, I'm bound to identify a page which qualifies for speedy deletion but may have potential for improvement. The point is, when I tagged it, it did meet the criteria CSD A3 (it was blank/had no content other than internal links. 3. I'm quite aware of what biting is, and seeing as you classify a 5-month editor as eligible for please don't bite the newcomers, you're actually biting me by not assuming good faith.
  • You wrote:
Please go more careful when tagging pages for speedy deletions. You tagged Eva Bacharach for deletion as a copyvio stating there was no assertion of permission. The references section clearly states that the article incorporates information from the jewish encylopedia, an publication now in the public domain. Thank you in advance for taking more time before tagging articles for speedy deletion. Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 19:22, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
Obviously I made a perfectly understandable mistake here. You couldn't possibly expect me to know this without in-depth investigation, something most people don't do when keeping up with the fast pace of newpages patrolling. Please don't be so quick to jump on perceived errors negatively so quickly. Pumpmeup(is awake!) 19:39, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
  • BTW, I'm sorry about picking holes in you, but I just took offense to it. No offense is directed at you :-) Pumpmeup(is awake!) 19:42, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
Well thanks for directing my attention to it, but the whole idea of a wiki is that if someone screws up, it's always undo-able. So if someone is perceived to have screwed up, please try not to beat 'em up. Cheers, Pumpmeup(is awake!) 19:45, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for my first barn star :) I'm glad we've agreed and come to a peaceful conclusion not resulting in the admin involved in the argument irrationally blocking the non-admin, as has happened to me before. Cheers, and happy editing :-D Pumpmeup(is awake!) 19:52, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

I don't understand why you deleted my article[edit]

Hi. Like the writer below, I recently created an article titled "Hector Buitrago" that you deleted. Why was it deleted? Can you un-delete it? I am writing from Hector Buitrago's record label and I will add citations and references as necessary. Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nacional.records (talkcontribs) 22:46, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

I don't understand this. I'm fairly new here and I created an article - I spent about an hour on it. An editor flagged it for speedy deletion and I put a note explaining why I felt the article was justified. Now you have deleted it, without allowing me any more time to build on the work I had done and improve my article. Could I please have an explanation? The article was called Neilson Active Holidays ClivePIA (talk) 20:57, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

How to quote "reliable third party" sources? - Hi Chris. Thanks for the explanation, but I still feel that my attempt to write factually has been deleted through an erroneous perception of spam. This article was not spam. I noted in a late edit why the company is notable. There are not "hundreds" on companies doing this - only about three or four. How else are any articles about commercial companies justified? And, being new to Wikipedia, I am unsure on something: I know the guys who set up this company so I don't believe these facts are recorded anywhere else on the internet. How therefore do I quote sources? ClivePIA (talk) 21:16, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

Your revert of my adding db-spam[edit]

This is written like an advertisement. I'm sure you can recognise that as much as anyone. Would Template:Advert be more suitable than db-spam? Or maybe neither of them? Knowing this would help me make better decisions in the future. Sylosin (T/C) 23:15, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

in regards to your request about db spam in regards to the bratz Nintendo ds video game. Many video games have articles, if only stubs. The infobox contained valid information. Instead of deleting the article, I recommend fixing up, removing spam comments. Deletion is only for articles that have no way of not being spam. This article has the capability of being reduced significantly to a 1 or 2 sentence article that will not appear to be spam. Hope this helps! Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 00:10, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

Geany entry[edit]

Chris,

I don't know why you deleted the article on Geany as "blatant advertising". The features listed on the original article are design goals set by the developers (few dependencies, fewer features, etc). I admit to using Geany as my editor of choice b/c its features suit my needs, but I hope to keep it on there as a link to the "list of text editors" entry. That is one of the most useful features for me on wikipedia (lists of video editors, list of audio editors, list of browswers, etc) as it lets me go through the choices and select the best one for me. I hope to keep the Geany article up as a similar service to other users. The information in the Geany article that was deleted was not much different than the many other articles on Wikipedia about editors such as gedit, scribes, etc.

If you describe what your issue was with the original article, I'll edit it if it seems reasonable in the context of the information contained in all other articles on text editors on wikipedia.

Deleting Grant Green, Jr.[edit]

Hey .. I was in the process of getting all the links and photos together for this article. Meanwhile you deleted it within an hour of creation. I even put a comment saying "Please don't delete .. I'll have all the info added by the end of the day." What's up? Give people a chance to build their articles. Is wiki running out of server space or what? Ah, I forgot to check if it had been through AfD. Sorry for the trouble. Oh well, at least the page was dealt with. Cheers, Master of Puppets Care to share? 19:20, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
However... I don't know what to make of The Examination for Lieutenant this. I was going to delete it under no context, but I don't even know what it's about, aside from it being an episode of some sort. Thoughts? Master of Puppets Care to share? 19:23, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
No context was a good call. I went ahead and deleted it . Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 19:25, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
Phew. Anyway, thanks for all the help! See you around, Master of Puppets Care to share? 19:26, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

Fill or Bust! article[edit]

I object to your deletion of Fill or Bust! which I added less than an hour ago. I can find scads of articles on Wikipedia that detail games, their rules, and how they're played. Since I don't work for the Fill or Bust! people and don't sell their products, this is not spam. Arbitrarily deciding it is "not notable" is nothing more than an opinion -- not a sensible reason to delete an article. This is a piece of recent Americana that I and many friends and family played over the past several decades, that is not likely to be available for much longer as it's the only thing Bowman Games even does. Further, the reference to the Fill or Bust! Web site is a suitable reference source, since everything in the article is detailed there. Please reinstate this article for those who disagree with your assertion that is it "not notable." Indy (talk) 21:04, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

Dang, Chris![edit]

DRV of Tyrannical Response Team[edit]

An editor has asked for a deletion review of Tyrannical Response Team. Since you closed the deletion discussion for this article, speedy-deleted it, or were otherwise interested in the article, you might want to participate in the deletion review. --lifebaka (Talk - Contribs) 00:47, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

Citypixel[edit]

I had just created the citypixel page, someone put "written like advertisement" so I put hang on and you delete the same day. I don't understand, is that the way things work? Could you instead undelete and provide some constructive criticism? I based Citypixel on how Habbo Hotel was written - is there a double standard? How is what they've done different?

Deletion[edit]

You are a bit quick with the deletions. I'd barely posted the hangon for Hotel Belvedere du Rayon Vert and it had gone for blatant advertising which it isn't. I haven't a clue how to respond properly so you'll have to read this and edit it.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Bloovee (talkcontribs)

If you can create the article with 1.) reliable third party sources that assert its significance (references to other wikipedia pages and pages for the company that supports it do not generally count as reliable source. You can practice on your user page if you like and when it is done, ask me if it is ready for article creation. As of the tiem your article was created, in its current state it was not an appropraite wikipedia article. Chrislk02 Chris Kreider 18:52, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
Just a heads-up to say I've undeleted and userfied this article. Oldelpaso (talk) 12:48, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

Image Removed[edit]

I am curious why you deleted the image in the Dale Threlkeld article. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dughlas (talkcontribs)

I did not delete your image, it would appear that East718 deleted it. It also appears that the image you uplaoded was copyrighted and we here at wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted images. Chrislk02 Chris Kreider 19:19, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

Thanks, I must have cliked the wrong user link. Thanks for the help anyway.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Dughlas (talkcontribs)

Citypixel[edit]

Chris, as you've responded to people after me I assume you've had time to read my post. Do other wikipedia postings, such as Habbo Hotel meet Wikipedia guidelines? I was using it as a template. If Habbo Hotel isn't a good template, could you please delete it as well for Blatent advertising and point me in the direction of a suitable frame of rererence? Thank you —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bailey007M (talkcontribs) 06:35, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

Foodnet[edit]

I believe that somebody made a mistake deleting Foodnet. It is a real non-profit organization that gets food from Lincoln, NE-based grocery stores that picks up food that cannot be sold but is still just fine to eat. 23:04, 26 December 2007 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Egebers (talkcontribs)

Fire Sale[edit]

Greetings!

I believe you merged the article fire sale with another article. Somehow in the process, much of the text was lost. A section detailing "fire sales" in sports was lost... Do you know where I can find this text? Thanks! ask123 (talk) 15:51, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
