Chris Hoare is the eldest son 'Mad Mike' Hoare. He is also the author and publisher of 'Mad Mike' Hoare: The Legend, which was published in 2018. ISBN 9780620798617. Chris Hoare was born in London in 1948, grew up in Durban, South Africa, and was educated at Michaelhouse and the University of Natal. He then took a 'gap year' in England and Europe; it lasted ten years! He always worked in the communication field, including teaching, journalism, public relations and desktop publishing. In 2005, Chris finally got Mike to agree to the idea of a biography, and he started doing the research and writing. It became his passion. The book was completed in 2018 and is authoritative, referenced and indexed.
