About me[edit]

My name is CastleCapt, a Wikipedia contributor with strong interests in the field of English and London geography.

I have made tons of contributions here and on Commons as User:MetrolandNW. I lost access to my original account and have now created User:CastleCapt as my new account. I am still the same person and looking forward to continue contributing here! As my original account's name suggests, I came to Wikipedia to contribute to articles related to Metroland areas (to the north-west of London), a region I'm strongly linked to. As I have spent more time here, I have expanded my contributions to other geographic areas and topics.

My favourite achievement here has been the creation of the A312 road article (as User:MetrolandNW) in May 2019, for which I spent a great deal of effort collecting reliable sources and polishing the article. I discovered beforehand (and to my surprise) that the A312 was the only 40-50mph carriageway/Primary Road in Greater London that lacked an article, which led to me creating it, although I should note that I am also a Hayes native and vaguely remember the construction of the bypass as a young teenager! In addition, I have added missing demographic information from the 2011 census to many London district articles and have created or improved a vast amount of shopping centre articles related to the London region.

While I'm at it, I have inserted a few userboxes here!
