Though I have used Wikipedia for a long time, I am new to actively participating in its editing.

I have been a teacher (French and English as Foreign languages) for years. My training was in literature and languages (B.A. at Geneva university, then a postgrad diploma in interpretation at the Polytechnic of Central London).

In 1998, I became interested in tech use through translations for Progetto Poschiavo, a sustainable developlment project for an isolated Alpine area, which involved distance training using ICT. I am still doing translations for the same team, who have now expanded the project to several other Alpine areas, and renamed it movingAlps - .

In 2000 I met Bonnie Bracey through a mailing list, and she took up my e-training, with great patience. Bonnie also introduced me to the WWWEDU and the Digital Divide Network mailing-lists, founded and managed by Andy Carvin.

From 2002 to October 2006, I was chief content editor for ADISI (Cyberlaw association of Italian-speaking Switzerland).

Since early 2003, I have been member of comunica-ch, the Swiss Civil Society platform created for the preparation of WSIS I (Geneva, Dec. 2003). In Autumn 2003, I was in charge of the comunica-ch page for the 2003 WSIS events it organised and patronized. I am also member of the Swiss Internet User Group
