 Bud Whiteye graduated from The University of Western Ontario, in October, 1983.  

He freelanced "in the bush" for several years until being called by the CBC (Toronto)in 1989. Whiteye was a trained mechanic and worked various truck, auto and tractor facilites until being called by the CBC National Network. Citing Bud Whiteye
