Aurelio Casillas, is a character in the television series entitled El Señor de los Cielos. It is played by Mexican actor Rafael Amaya, first appeared in the April 15, 2013 in the episode "Arranca la balacera".

The character is based on the Mexican drug lord Amado Carrillo, Who in the years 70-90 was known as "El Señor de los Cielos", It was created by Luis Zelkowicz, Mariano Calasso based on an original idea by Andrés López.

Role in El Señor de los Cielos[edit]

Aurelio is a man obsessed with women, is manipulative, observer and loving with their loved ones. He is the son of Doña Alba, in the series almost never talks about his father, so his name is unknown. His younger brother is Víctor Casillas, who helps him to commit their criminal acts. As a teenager, he fell in love Ximena Letrán, a young girl who had grown up in the world of drug trafficking. After several years together Aurelio and Ximena, they had two sons Heriberto and Rutila Casillas, and later gave birth to her last daughter named Luz Marina.

After his criminal career, Aurelio has gotten a lot of enemies. Their main enemies are the police and most powerful traffickers. Your first enemy was Marco Mejia, a disgruntled cop Aurelio who had murdered his father. Marcos in his plan to kill all Casillas, finds help in Leonor Ballesteros a Colombian police who also makes it impossible for the series to Aurelio. The Chema, who is the second most wanted drug trafficker in Mexico, trying to end Aurelio to seize all of Mexico.

Relationships with other characters[edit]

Aurelio has had several lovers, among them are; Mónica Robles, the woman he Aurelio murders his two brothers, and which currently maintains a relationship. El Cabo y El Tijeras are two Colombian drug with which is associated to transport Aurelio drugs.
