9/26/17: "User:Username/subpage" format

Accidentally forgot to include "User:" before the name of my first newly created subpage. D'oh! Got placed in the mainspace, or Wikiverse ("where the wild things are"), instead of in my namespace.

• Correct format: "User:Big_universe/name of new page".
• Check watchlist for subpage activity such as deletions. (Changes don't show up under "contribs".)
• Cool trick: typing just "User:Big_universe/" into searchbox brings up all subpages.

User:Trivialist corrected error (moved page to my userspace); was very kind. :)
User:RHaworth deleted page, did not respond to query; but page is still up. Perhaps just a misunderstanding.

update 9/30/17:

- RHaworth replied: the actual subpage itself, which I created, wasn't deleted. What WAS deleted was the "cross-namespace redirect" that resulted from Trivialist moving the page from mainspace to my userspace (i.e. from one space to the other).

- That's what I suspected, and RHaworth confirmed.

- NB: A "redirect" (as in "cross-namespace redirect") is an actual page, rather than a bit of code embedded in the page that directs a search/searcher from one page to another. In other words, when Trivialist moved my incorrectly located subpage out of mainspace to userspace, another page (the "cross-namespace redirect") was created--to take its place and point any subsequent queries toward the new location in my userspace. It was that "substitute"/redirect page that was deleted, not the original subpage I created.

- To clarify: The Wikipedia page which defines the term "redirect" clearly specifies that a "redirect" is a page. But I hadn't read that page. Being in a bit of a hurry (after having seen the word "deleted" in relation to a page I'd just created), I only read the "cross-space redirect" page which was linked to the deletion action. THAT page only says, "Cross-namespace redirects are redirects from one namespace to another..."--and I had assumed that a "redirect" is just a bit of code, rather than an entire page. Important distinction. So, confusion ensued, and RHaworth clarified. (Thanks, Rhaworth!)
