User:Ballista/images/Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre June 2006

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Here are four images I managed to glean from the 'Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre', at the weekend. Could Scelidosaurus be of any use to the Project, whether as a skeleton (too dark!) or as a model (or both)? If the skeleton is to be used, it would need 'lightening' and some distracting objects removed. There's also a couple of Ichthyosaur pics, that may come in handy somewhere on WP. - Ballista 19:25, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

Scelidosaurus[edit]

With some really cool 'edits' by Firsfron

  1. Scelidosaurus skeleton

Comment: too dark - Ballista 09:17, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

  1. Scelidosaurus skeleton, lightened, rem distractions.

Comment:

  • This is a great edit, Firsfron but what chances of a close-up on the horn stump, on top of the head? I should have taken a close-up shot at the time (gnash) - Ballista 09:17, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

  1. Scelidosaurus front leg

Comment:

  • Nice! - Ballista 09:17, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
  • Firsfron - do you want to do anything with this edited image? - Ballista 09:24, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
  • I dunno. I was just trying to get some sort of a close-up image. We don't have to use it, it was just a proposal, anyway. :)--Firsfron of Ronchester 15:29, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

Yes, and a good one. Should we 'up' it to Sceli page? - Ballista 16:33, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

  • Do you think maybe it's too similar to the full-body one?--Firsfron of Ronchester 17:06, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
  • Tricky call - anyone else have any opinions - I reckon it's OK for the page, depending upon how crowded it gets, esp. if there is some text on the limb (I've not looked). - Ballista 18:10, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

  1. Scelidosaurus reconstruction

Comment

The reconstructions I have seen generally show a much thinner animal. This guy's positively tubby! --Firsfron of Ronchester 17:53, 20 June 2006 (UTC)

Yeah - I thought that - obviously good pickings on the Jurassic Coast! - Ballista 07:56, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
