1992創設。現在国内外を含め、数千人の隊員・会員を擁す。職業は医師、看護師、弁護士、建築家、職人、インテリアコーディネーター、ガーデンデザイナー、作家、エッセイスト、写真家、音楽家,デイトレーダー、自営業、会社員、主婦、学生、無職などさまざま。

カヌー、キャンプ、登山,釣り、マリンスポーツなどのアウトドアアクティビティをはじめ、廃墟、無人島探検、秘湯 ・パラダイス・火葬場探訪、文学・哲学・芸術・建築・つげ義春・新興宗教研究、人間ウォッチング、ガーデニング、写真などの分野に特に強くWikipedia百科事典編集にも注力する。さらに株式投資部門までも擁するディレッタント集団。
