General Artemio Ricarte Park & Museum[edit]

General Artemio Ricarte Park & Monument is a public park and monument in Batac City, Ilocos Norte. It is dedicated to Artemio Ricarte y Vibora, who was born in Batac City. He was the first Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and is regarded as the Father of the Philippine Army.^[1]It has a shrine which showcases memorabilia like Ricarte’s military uniform, photos, a collection of American and Japanese guns used in World War II, and other artifacts.^[1]
