Myself[edit]

Hello! This is Animikh Roy. I would love to imagine myself as a knowledge obsessive enthusiast but not as a high functioning sociopath. I love society and all the cultural heritage the world has to offer along the way! I am 22 as of today (20th Sept. 2014) and have avid interest in all forms of creative arts and science. However, I also happen to be a privileged member of the K.C. Das family form my mother's side. I consider myself blessed to have had the opportunity and exposure to the authentic traditional culture of Bengal and its heritage from a family which has a deep rooted tradition and scientific spirit of inquiry, enriching India and the world with original inventions like the "Rossogolla" (By Nobin Chandra Das [1] "Rossomalai" (By his son Krishna Chandra (K.C. Das))[2] and also by mechanizing and scientifically standardizing the Indian Sweet-meat confectionery; which are prime contributions of Sarada Charan Das[3] (The grandson of Nobin Chandra and successor of K.C. Das. As a result my first Wikipedia contribution is based on the Biography of Nobin Chandra Das and the history of Rossogolla. However my educational background and penchant for exploring the inherent riddles of nature add a different flavor to my varied choice of subjects.

Interests[edit]

I completed 12 years of schooling in St. Xavier's Collegiate School, which was followed by my B.Sc.in Physics from St. Xavier's College Autonomous (Kolkata). After completing my B. Sc. I started pursuing my avid interests in the fields of High Energy Physics and Black Hole Cosmology through two internships; one at the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Jadavpur and the other at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Apart from the world of Physics which fascinates me the most, I am also passionate about drama, music, literature, painting, debating , writing, cooking and creating new things. I play the classical piano and am an alumnus of the British Council Debating Matters Organization. My final dream is to conceptualize a "Theory of Everything" leading to the Universal Truth, in Mankind’s quest of Self-Realization through Holographic Physics, Cosmology, Super-String Theory, Noetic Science, Morphogenetic Biophysics and the advaita principles of Shankaracharya, Sri Aurobindo and Swami Vivekananda's scientific VEDANTA. —————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— I am currently working on research papers on consciousness focusing on the Holographic nature of the human brain and its relation to Quantum Fields. If you want me to write an article on any topic that covers my interests, then you can add your request on my talk page.Even if you wish to tell me anything, everything is welcome, it could be a suggestion or about a mistake that I may have made somewhere. Always feel free to speak your mind by leaving a message on my talk page! ——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

New to Wikipedia?
[edit]

Is this your first time on Wikipedia? If yes, here is a list of few points that will help you get the best out of it:

  • If you are looking for quick facts about an article, see the infobox of that article. It is present on the right hand side, just at the starting of the article. See here.
  • Hyperlinks (text in blue) are available in each article to lead you to the pages where you can find more information about the text that contains the link. They are spread throughout the page.
  • At the bottom of each page, you will find categories that will lead to articles that belong to the same category as the article. See here. You can view this category separately here.
  • Just above the categories, you will find templates which will lead you directly to articles that are related to the article that is being viewed. See here and see this template separately here. If it shows only the title of the template, click [show] at the right hand side corner of the topic.
  • To see the discussions going on about improving the article, click Talk at the top left hand side of each page and it will lead you the talk page of the article. Example, talk page of India can be viewed here.
  • To see when was the article last time updated and who updated it, click View history at the top right hand side of each article. Example, edit history of article about Wikipedia can be seen here.
  • If you find any wrong or incomplete information in any article, click View history and then go to the user page of any user who has edited it and then you can tell him about it. To talk to a user, click Talk on the top left hand side of the user page. Example, the user page of founder of Wikipedia, Jimmy Wales can be found here and his talk page can be found here.
  • Portals have been created for some topics which serve as Main Page for some specific topics or areas. To see the list of portals to which an article belong, see the See also section of any article. There may not be a portal for every article. Example, link to portal of Hisar can be found in the article here and you can view this portal separately here. You can also find media (images, sounds and videos) about the article in the same section. Example, media related to the topic Hisar can be found here, just above the link to portal.
  • Each article comes under a Wikiproject which is a group of editors that work together to improve the articles related to that Wikiproject. To see the list of Wikiprojects to which an article is associated with, go to the talk page of that article and there you can find the list of all the articles at the top of the page. You can see an example of a Wikiproject here.

I hope this helped. In the end, you can always help in improving Wikipedia by becoming a member. If you are not sure whether you can edit it or not, you can always look for adoption by experienced editors who will help you in learning about Wikipedia. To see how to edit articles, click here.
