I'm Anne-Marie Scott, and I live and work in Edinburgh, Scotland, UK. I have a humanities background, but I've spent the last 20 years working in IT, particularly in higher education at the University of Edinburgh. As part of my work at the University of Edinburgh I support the use of Wikimedia projects in learning and teaching, along with Stinglehammer who is our Wikimedian in Residence.

I am also a Trustee of the Mansfield Traquair Trust, a building preservation charity based in Edinburgh (volunteer work - I am not paid for being a Trustee). I have a love of the Arts and Crafts period in general, and was compelled to get involved with the Mansfield Traquair Trust because of their work to preserve and make accessible the murals of the Irish-born artist Phoebe Anna Traquair. I take a keen personal interest in promoting knowledge about her and her work and have written several pages about her murals in the Royal Sick Children's Hospital Mortuary Chapel.

I am a proud daughter of the Kingdom of Fife.

I'm also very interested in the history of the Edinburgh Seven - the first women to be admitted to a University in the UK. I wrote the biography of Emily Bovill, one of the Edinburgh Seven and if you don't know their story, I would recommend it to you.

Other things I particularly like are:
