I'm an engineer living in Kew, west London, and webmaster for the Old Tollingtonians Society (OTS). I drew up a Wikipedia entry for Tollington School to help alumni find the OTS, explore the history of the school and browse its archives on the website.
I had always had great respect for Wikipedia, so I was surprised when assisting colleagues who were having difficulty in identifying business sectors in manufacturing industry, to discover that a group of Wikipedia articles had contributed to their confusion. Conflicting terminology had been adopted on related pages, there were inaccuracies and poor use of English, all of which all needed to be sorted out. I didn't have the time to do that then and have not dared start on it since!
