Hello Alekjds, an automated process has found an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, such as fair use. The image (Image:Duquesnecrest.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Alekjds/duq. This image or media will be removed per statement number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media will be replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. The image that was replaced will not be automatically deleted, but it could be deleted at a later date. Articles using the same image should not be affected by my edits. I ask you to please not re-add the image to your userpage and could consider finding a replacement image licensed under either the Creative Commons or GFDL license or released to the public domain. Please note that it is possible that the image on your page is included vie a template or usebox. In that case, please find a free image for the template or userbox. Thanks for your attention and cooperation. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 11:41, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

Settlement dates

The settlement dates for all boroughs, cities and townships in Pennsylvania are available here [1]. They are under the research category and then under Pennsylvania counties. Thanks for asking. You're the first to ask after I have added that category to just about every borough and city west of the Susquehanna River. Hopefully I will get the settlement date for every city, town, or borough in Pennsylvania. Dincher 14:06, 26 May 2007 (UTC)

Caption in Lithuania#Culture

I changed the caption in Lithuania#Culture after talking to User:Renata3, can you have a look and see if you think it is clearer now? Thanks! --Grey Knight 17:14, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

The Republic itself is a sort of ha-ha-only-serious thing. I'm not sure how to write it more clearly, I'll have another look at it on Monday when I'm more awake. --Grey Knight 14:08, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
You make a good point; tongue-in-cheek humour, by definition, isn't something we can deal with very well in Wikipedia, since we have to have everything spelled out in full in a reliable source. I'll revisit both this caption and the Užupis article and do something about it. --tiny plastic Grey Knight 11:31, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

Re: Talk page replacements

Yes, adding a better summary would have been helpful. I would done that if I could have figured out how to do the replacements with AWB. It was tricky because each template has a different variable for username. I was in a hurry and I didn't anticipate the level of anger in the response. Thanks for not yelling. :-) IronGargoyle 22:18, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

This is an automated message from a robot. You have recently uploaded Image:AKAshield2.png. The file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 15:12, 7 September 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. If you believe you received this message in error, please notify the bot's owner. Fair use disputed for Image:Mtshield.png

Thanks for uploading Image:Mtshield.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:17, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Fettes.png

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Fettes.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Better source request for Image:Stemma_Modena.png

Thanks for uploading Image:Stemma_Modena.png. You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Wikimedia Commons

Thank you for uploading images/media to Wikipedia! There is however another Wikimedia foundation project called Wikimedia Commons, a central media repository for all free media. In the future, please consider creating an account and uploading media there instead. That way, all the other language Wikipedias can use them too, as well as our many sister projects. This will also allow our visitors to search for, view and use our media in one central location. If you wish to move previous uploads to Commons, see Wikipedia:Moving images to the Commons (you may view images you have previously uploaded by going to your user contributions on the left and choosing the 'image' namespace from the drop down box). Please note that non-free content, such as images claimed as fair use, cannot be uploaded to the Wikimedia Commons. Help us spread the word about Commons by informing other users, and please continue uploading!

Re:Luminous Mysteries

The source I got it from was a booklet titled The Rosary of Pope John Paul II which mentions Preca as the author of the mysteries in the introduction, also mentions that some people figured that the addition of the mysteries was the Popes idea of honoring Preca's beatification. The book was released by Liguori Publications (2003) and credits Hans Christoffersen as the one who compiled and edited it. There maybe some sites that might have it as well thats where I got my information from. —Preceding unsigned comment added by JoeEsquivel (talkcontribs) 17:04, 2 January 2008

Interlanguage links

Hi there. As part of your (appreciated) recent cleanups of various Welsh saint articles, you have apparently been moving the interlanguage links above the "Category:" block. While the placement of such links in the source does not matter for the article appearance, the convention is to place them at the very bottom of the article. This is where other editors expect to find them, which saves everyone time in the long run. There's no need to revert your edits, but please don't perform any more such moves, unless there's a good reason (in which case, please explain here). Thanks, Hqb (talk) 10:05, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

(Replied on User Talk:)Thanks for the warning, Hqb (and I honestly do appreciate it). My recent cleanups were made using AutoWikiBrowser, which for some reason has this "unconventional" setting for the interwiki links' position. I figured that the program had the most appropriate settings in regards to article syntax; I will have to look into why that would appear to not be the case. In the future, I should try to be more careful to balance AWB's automatic settings with what is in fact tried-and-true convention. Alekjds talk 12:32, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
Hi,I've posted one of the diffs with your bug-report. HOwever you should probably know that there is another problem with the current release of AWB in that it replaces <references /> with {{reflist}} - for this reason I currently have "genreal fixes" turned off. Workaround - wait for the next release, build from the source code, or turn off general fixes. Rgds, Rich Farmbrough, 15:46 6 January 2008 (GMT).
Thank you, and I will keep that in mind. Alekjds talk 15:50, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
