Introduction[edit]

Hi, I'm Ali. I am an accounting student at the University of Guelph. This is my 5th DE course, and I decided to take this to keep occupied over the summer. I very much enjoy computers and coding, and took this course to learn more about computers in society. I hope that I am able to learn more about blogging and wikis by the end of this class.

Personal Life[edit]

I was raised in Toronto, Ontario. I grew up playing soccer and tennis. I have always wanted to be able to learn to snowboard and over the last few winters I have been able to go to Mont Tremblant and get plenty of practise at one of the nicest and with over 70 runs, it is one of the more difficult hills in North America [1] . In the future, I hope to graduate with my B. Comm. and be able to pass my entrance exam and be a CA in the next couple of years.

Education and Academic Career[edit]

After high-school, I went to the University of Ottawa for a B. Comm. degree majoring in Finance. After just a year, I did not enjoy the school and therefore transferred to Guelph. I am very happy here, with a great core of professors. I look forward to being an Alumni in the future and coming back to support future Gryphons.

Hobbies[edit]

I spend a lot of time on the computer. Aside from coding and spending time trying to "rip" video games onto my PS3 and XBOX 360 HDD, I also spend a lot time on the internet.

Social Media[edit]

I would rank my favorite social media websites in this order:

  1. Facebook
  2. Twitter
  3. Myspace

Aside from this, I also am a huge sports factoid freak. I know almost everything about all 4 major sports, with baseball being my strongest and football being my weakest.
