From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Aspiring educational YouTuber who loves learning (not strictly in the classroom sense, but from news, periodicals, the internet, and of course—Wikipedia!). I was an admin and very active until 2014 on Wikivoyage before shifting to Wikipedia (partly due to burn-out after lots of time/edits contributed around Wikivoyage's move to the Wikimedia Foundation), where I had originally migrated from editing Wikitravel. I have a lot of varied interests, primarily relating to travel and off-the-beaten-track destinations around the globe; science and technology (including aviation and highways); law (particularly US Constitutional law and copyright law); and current events. Since 2012, I've spent way too much time (a couple thousand hours?) doing online genealogical research. As much as I've learned about my ancestors (over 500 of them and almost 2000 relatives!), I've also learned a tremendous amount of US and European history and may make an occasional edit on a subject relating to my research. Since 2015, most of my genealogy research has pertained to immigrants from a handful of villages in Alsace to two small regions in Ohio in the 1820s-1840s, about whom I created a website to which I've been adding content sporadically.

My first Wikipedia account was User:IBstupid. I've matured a bit since I chose that name and would like to use AHeneen across all wikis (my unified account). However, without the ability to merge Wikipedia accounts, it remains a second (but inactive and properly tagged as such) account owned by me.
