Foreseen problems with this template[edit]

While the telugu Wikipedia sports this template and has articles about almost all the kings, one problem that we can run into in the english wikipedia is that the list of kings as mentioned on Vijayanagara empire differs with those on the template including the names of dynasties. The latter is a settled issue as the name of Krishnadevaraya's father makes it clear as to which dynasty he is from. I propose that this template be retained on all the pages related to Vijayanagara empire so that the issues that emerge can be thrashed out amicably. --Gurubrahma 14:06, 29 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The names (and transliteration)[edit]

I've been altering some of the names, looking for some consistency; not easy. I've just changed Aaraveeti (dynasty) to Araviti. This is perhaps not ideal. I've seen the form 'Aravidu', and some other forms for the individual rulers, perhaps deriving separately from Kannada and Telugu, modern and older. Whatever names are used finally, they should bee transliterated consistently. Also it would help if someone could check what language the name is from, and put that in the article.
