This section of subgenus Quercus needs to be linked to the 2 species that are in section Ponticae, which contains the two species Quercus pontica and Quercus sadleriana https://link.springer.com/chapter/10.1007/978-3-319-69099-5_2 https://nph.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/nph.16162 These two links show the position of section Ponticae in the global oak phylogeny well Virentes-Fanatic (talk) 01:30, 16 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
