Suggestion of the changing name[edit]

I think it is better that we should change this page name to Template:Mine Line. Why "JR" to a head?--Yakuchang....(talk) 07:17, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I would recommend keeping the JR prefix on the template name because there have been a large number of railways that were built to serve mines and could then have then been known locally as "the mine line" in one way or another; with JR at the start of this template's name, the potential ambiguity is resolved. For example, there were a number of railways that were built to serve gold and silver mines in Colorado and Nevada as well as several lines built to serve coal mines in Wyoming, Utah, West Virginia and several other states.
