Template accuracy[edit]

Roman Assyria 230 - 363 — Is that date accurate? — EliasAlucard|Talk 23:39 31 Jul, 2007 (UTC)

Correct. It was a Roman province between those years - after it was taken by the Persian army. Chaldean 00:17, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Flag[edit]

Small vexillological symbol or pictogram in black and white showing the different uses of the flag Old Assyrian flag, prior to World War I. the three stars indicate the three major Syriac churches, the Church of the East, Chaldean Catholic Church, and Syriac Orthodox Church.

Since this is an article on history, I've transcluded a historical flag, i.e. the one flown prior to World War I. This flag predates the tiring "Syriac vs. Assyrian" dispute; an alternative would of course be transluding multiple flags (Syriac flag, Assyrian flag), but that would overburden the template, and these flags are recent (younger than 50 years) in any case. The historical flag has the advantage that it was flown by all denominations. Alternatively, we could picture an icon of Ephrem the Syrian who is likewise endorsed by all factions. --dab (𒁳) 12:39, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Mor Ephrem icon.jpg is maybe better than a 1900s flag. Image:Moqimu mosaic Edessa.jpg is also nice seeing it depicts an actual family of historical Syrians rather than flags or saints or gods or other symbols. --dab (𒁳) 14:03, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merge concluded[edit]

As far as I can se, everything has already been merged with Template:Assyrian people footer. PPEMES (talk) 21:53, 20 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Yep I performed it a bit before you left this comment, but had to take a break due to IRL things. I then did the rest of the process (make sure there aren't duplicate navboxes and redirecting) just after. -- Trialpears (talk) 08:36, 21 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
