I have an alternative suggestion:

I agree, the second version looks better. Armbrust Talk Contribs 18:06, 24 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Setting the editnotice to display for only autoconfirmed users[edit]

  • Could an admin please set this editnotice to display for only autoconfirmed users? It is currently displaying in the submission form, which could confuse new users. I would fix it myself, but I don't know what code to add. Thank you, Alpha Quadrant talk 14:30, 11 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
    • I'm relatively positive it is impossible to get a user's usergroups via magic words, so I don't think this is possible. Reaper Eternal (talk) 16:01, 11 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Not done: please be more specific about what needs to be changed. I don't know of any way to do this... -- DQ (t) (e) 02:17, 12 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please add the 'are you in the wrong place' directory to the edit notice page[edit]

Please add the mbox I've included below into the edit notice, since it's being missed or ignored where it is now. Sven Manguard Wha? 19:39, 3 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Edit Request on 28 October 2013[edit]

Please remove the part stating that you need to add a signature. I updated the template that when you add the afc redirect template, it automatically adds the signature. buffbills7701 22:30, 28 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Partly done: There were actually four: but I only removed two, the ones associated with {{subst:afc redirect}}, since the two associated with {{subst:afc category}} appear to still be necessary. --Redrose64 (talk) 08:09, 29 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Updated the category template. Could somebody update it accordingly? buffbills7701 14:49, 29 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Template-protected edit request on 15 July 2014[edit]

Could this be added to the bottom of the template?

Click to insert: {{afC-c|a}} • {{subst:afc_redirect}} • {{subst:afc_category}} • ~~~~ • {{afC-c|b}}

They are the most commonly added bits of text, so it would be handy to have them there. Ollieinc (talk) 05:07, 15 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose while this may simplify archiving, the probem with making these more visible is that the requestors are more likely to add them by mistake. Alternatively, the AFC beta script already adds this functionality. In any case, wider discussion may be needed. --Mdann52talk to me! 11:26, 15 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Mdann52: What if they were hidden inside a collapse box? Jackmcbarn (talk) 03:27, 17 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Not done: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the {{edit template-protected}} template. —cyberpower ChatOnline 07:45, 20 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Should be done This greatly simplifies inserting the templates. Note that these are used for indicating acceptance or rejection, and not for archiving. Mdann's comment does not make any sense. I don't think the ~~~~ is needed though. SD0001 (talk) 16:24, 27 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@SD0001: I would suggest using Articles for Creation helper to quickly accept and decline redirect requests. Ollieinc (talk) 08:09, 28 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Ollieinc: It does not work for redirects or categories. See here. SD0001 (talk) 11:32, 28 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@SD0001: There is a version for categories and redirects. Try adding the code below to User:SD001/common.js, go to Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-gadgets, check the box next to Yet Another AFC Helper Script: easily review Articles for creation submissions, Files for Upload, redirect and category requests, go to WP:AFC/R, and purge the page. Next to the search bar there should be a More button: click on that, then there should be a Review buttom to click on. That will bring up a section to quickly accept and decline redirects and cats. Ollieinc (talk) 00:35, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
/* AFCH beta script */ importScript('MediaWiki:Gadget-afchelper-beta.js'); // AFCH beta script [[MediaWiki:Gadget-afchelper-beta.js]]
Not done: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the {{edit template-protected}} template. I still don't see a consensus here and I think this is not something that should be in the template but should be added specifically for those editors that have interest in seeing these using JavaScript or whatnot. Perhaps add them as Custom edittools listings? — {{U|Technical 13}} (etc) 21:40, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Template-protected edit request on 27 March 2015[edit]

Remove the 'Reviewing instructions' parent collapse box. It is not needed. The two collapse-boxes within it should be independent. Reviewers have to unnecessarily click twice instead of once to view the instructions. SD0001 (talk) 16:30, 27 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the {{edit template-protected}} template. — {{U|Technical 13}} (etc) 21:30, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Template-protected edit request on 16 August 2015[edit]

{{afc redirect}} decline reasons —> {{afc redirect}} responses and {{afc category}} decline reasons —> {{afc category}} responses
The text "{{afc redirect/category}} decline reasons" is misleading because it is the heading for a collapsible table containing both reasons for accepting and declining a request. I think "{{afc redirect/category}} responses" is a better description of the contents, although simply removing the word "decline" would be a viable alternative.
