Expansion - good; hook - would be nice to see it in the lead and ~~cannot verify the offline source so will agf;~~ I like the image. I checked this source and am confused. The source says the alum industry began in Queen Elizabeth's time, the article says it was the direct result of the dissolution, which Henry VIII caused. Maybe needs a little clarification. Also I think the information about the alum is interesting and bringing the "piss" to the area to make alum - suggest trying to incorporate into the hook. ~~Otherwise fine~~. There's a huge variance in the quality of the writing and because one of the sources is not available online, want to think about this a bit. Truthkeeper88 (talk) 02:40, 30 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've now revised the alum section. There is a genuine connection with the priory which is worth noting, but the way it was done in the article previously was not ideal. I've rewritten it and moved it within the article (it no longer has its own section). Prioryman (talk) 10:43, 30 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

All checks out for original hook. As it seems the alum came long after the end of the priory, on unidentified land it once owned somewhere, I really doubt that the section belongs in this article at all, so a hook based on that would not work for me.
