Removing Javed Iqbal and Rana Bhagwandas as Acting CJ[edit]

Please note that during suspension of Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, both Justice Iqbal and Justice Bhagwandas were only acting CJ. The CJ even at that time was still Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry. There are always cases when you have acting CJ. Both Rana and Iqbal have worked as acting CJ when Iftikhar was out of country. Again both were never CJ and should not be in this list. This is not what only I am saying even Javed Iqbal said it. This observation was made by Justice Iqbal during the Judicial Trial of the Chief Justice Chaudhry.

Acting Chief Justice Javed Iqbal on Tuesday said that Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry is still the Chief Justice of Pakistan while he has a temporary charge.

He made the observation when Muhammad Ikram Chaudhry advocate informed the acting chief justice about the treatment being meted out to Justice Chaudhry following the filing of the presidential reference against him.
