Purpose[edit]
This template has been created for use in the season articles for Hell's Kitchen (American TV series). Its purpose is to ensure a consistent colour key across all season articles while complying with accessibility requirements. Wording for the template was chosen carefully so as to correctly apply to all seasons of the TV program. Accordingly, any changes should be made based on consensus formed on the talk page. To use the template, place {{hkcpt}} immediately below the "contestant progress" table.
Parameters[edit]
The template has a single parameter that is only used in some seasons.
bo- During early seasons, the terms "best of the best" (BoB) and "best of the worst" (BoW) were used. For these seasons only,
boshould be set to "1". i.e.{{hkcpt|bo=1}}is used in the article.
Key notes[edit]
The following apply regardless of circumstances:
- Chef was eliminated without nomination – Any eliminations at the "end" of the episode (winning team, sick/absent, not called but spontaneously picked without explanation)
- Chef was eliminated during service – Any mid-episode eliminations
Where there are factors not explained in the key, this should be explained in a note used in the individual table cell formatted using "ref" tags.
- e.g.
<ref group=n>This is a note.</ref>
Use of <ref group=n> is required in order for the note to appear in the "Notes" section at the end of the table.
