WCBR

5x expanded by Sammi Brie (talk). Self-nominated at 04:48, 10 January 2021 (UTC).

  • Hi, Sammi Brie, review follows: 5x expanded, long enough, referenced, reasonably well written, neutral, referenced, free from copyvio, QPQ has been done. Hook could be better phrased to line up with the source, I think— I'm not convinced that House's quote can support that the pastor asked multiple employees, and does "give it to the Lord" necessarily equate "donate"? Curious to hear your thoughts. Eddie891 Talk Work 13:46, 13 January 2021 (UTC)
Yes, it means donate. Could change to format to the singular. "asked an employee each week if he wanted his check..."--Epiphyllumlover (talk) 06:17, 14 January 2021 (UTC)
That sounds really awkward to my ear... I did a little digging to see if there was more to work with and I'm afraid I'm not finding that much else to base a hook off of. Sammi Brie (she/her • tc) 06:24, 14 January 2021 (UTC)
  • How about something like
  • ALT1 ... that while he worked at Kentucky radio station WCBR, the owner, a pastor, would ask Gerry House if he wanted to donate his salary?
Sammi Brie-- it is an interesting hook fact and I think we should be able to find a way to keep emphasis on the station, even if this alt isn't it. Eddie891 Talk Work 03:38, 28 January 2021 (UTC)
That's...okay...but still quite awkward, Eddie891. Sammi Brie (she/her • tc) 03:43, 28 January 2021 (UTC)
I agree that it isn’t perfect— maybe you or someone else who sees this will have a smoother suggestion? Eddie891 Talk Work 03:58, 28 January 2021 (UTC)
ALT1a ... that while Gerry House worked at Kentucky radio station WCBR, the owner, a pastor, asked him if he wanted to donate his salary?
How does this sound? Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 05:15, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
@Eddie891 and Narutolovehinata5: That'd be fine by me. Sammi Brie (she/her • tc) 05:38, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
ALT1a is good to go. I feel OK promoting this because it's based on the fact in ALT0, really. Eddie891 Talk Work 18:25, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
