- ... that Virgil Conn (pictured) was a member of the Oregon Legislature during the 1897 session that failed to organize due to lack of a quorum?
Source: The Oregon Legislators and Staff Guide for the 1897 legislative session lists Conn as a member of the Oregon House of Representatives and says: "On assembling for permanent organization there was found not to be a quorum present. It then developed that the House was divided into two factions neither of which would answer roll call when the other was present. Neither faction had sufficient members to form a quorum. … After remaining at the capitol forty-five days, … the members of both factions disbanded and returned to their respective homes."

- New enough, long enough. Neutral, well sourced. Neither I nor Earwig believe it to be copyvio. Otherwise policy compliant. Image is PD (quality isn't great though). QPQ has been done. The hook is interesting, neutrally written and not too long. I can't access the source, but it is cited at the end of the paragraph and the story is the same as at 19th Oregon Legislative Assembly (which could be linked in the hook, but doesn't have to be). Looks good to go for me.
