Comment: The election is June 2. I think we should avoid running this too close to that date, to avoid the appearance of an endorsement. If we run it after the election, of course, we'll need to tweak the tense of the hook.

Struck ALT0 as we cannot possibly run a hook on an upcoming candidate like this. After the election a new hook in past tense will be needed. EEng (talk) 05:18, 27 May 2015 (UTC)

I don't know of any policy against it, but as the article is currently in the midst of a notability debate, I'll agree that we should wait until after the election to run this DYK. The debate will be resolved then, one way or another. --Coemgenus (talk) 12:07, 27 May 2015 (UTC)

This article is new enough and long enough and the election is long past. The hook facts are reliably sourced, the article is neutral, and I detected no close paraphrasing. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:24, 21 June 2015 (UTC)
