Tour Ronde[edit]

The Tour Ronde
The Tour Ronde
  • ... that a mountain guide whose client was killed whilst climbing the Tour Ronde (pictured) near Mont Blanc was successfully sued for negligence by the client's six year old son?
  • ALT1:... that the summit of the Tour Ronde (pictured) has a reputation for providing alpine mountaineers with one of the finest viewpoints in the Mont Blanc range?
  • Reviewed: Eleanor Warren (cellist)
  • Comment: As the mountain is on the French/Italian border, I elected not to over-complicate the hook by specifying the broader location, thinking instead that the Mont Blanc name is sufficiently well-known. Hook is located and cited in the section entitled North Face -events and incidents.

  • New enough, long enough, Earwig's tool doesn't show any likelihood of copyvio. Article is well written and neutral. Generally well sourced, though some of the stuff in the climate change section needs more sourcing, most notably the end of the 2nd paragraph. The real problem is the incidents section from which the hook comes, which really needs it's sources reorganized to better support the material. Also, none of the sources seem to support the claim that he was awarded £150,000 in damages, with the source for that sentence referring to him starting the court case and no mention of it concluding. Other than that, though, the article is (generally) well sourced. The ALT0 hook is very interesting, and is supported by the sources, although, as I mentioned, they need to be reorganized. I would definitely use it over ALT1. The hook is also within length limitations. QPQ has been completed, though I had to search for it (in the future, you should link to the review, not the article reviewed). Once the above issues have been fixed, this will be okay. Thank you for the feedback, G S Palmer. I'll attend to your concerns and ensure citations are clearer over the weekend. The climate/rockfall section was only drafted a few hours ago, so I will definitely be doing further work on that too.
Citations now checked and an additional one added closer to the hook (the quoted sum of £150,000 was included in the book on Tort Law, but was admittedly rather far away from the key words, and not easy to find). Climate change/rockfall citations also now added to all paragraphs. Hope this now meets all concerns. Parkywiki (talk) 12:43, 7 December 2015 (UTC)
Sorry for the long delay in getting back to you; I completely forgot about this nomination! Also, I wasn't notified when you pinged me for some reason. Anyway, I can't check it now, but I'll try to get around to reviewing your changes within <12 hours. G S Palmer (talkcontribs) 14:34, 17 December 2015 (UTC)
Okay, the article is now good to go. I'm very sorry that I left you hanging like that. G S Palmer (talkcontribs) 16:06, 3 January 2016 (UTC)
