  • Reviewed: Churel
  • Comment: Article expansion done. Started on 23rd Oct in user-space and then moved to article. Planning for special day i.e. October 30th 2012, which marks as 125th birthday of Sukumar Ray.

  • Article is new, long enough and cites reliable sources. Has a free image. The nominator has reviewed one article. Everything seems fine. I would like to have a second opinion on the hook; would like a bit simple; seems to emphasize more on Satyajit Ray than the subject article. Shivashree (talk) 03:48, 26 October 2012 (UTC)
  • Comment: I've given more emphasis on Satyajit Ray because its his last documentary. Its a coincidence that its on his father, Sukumar Ray. Moreover, Satyajit Ray is widely known to International audience than Sukumar Ray. Just to grab attention. - Vivvt • (Talk) 08:26, 26 October 2012 (UTC)
Second opinion: information etc are completely alright! I have seen when there are multiple links in a DYK, a good number of readers get confused where to click. You can see page view stats of recent DYKs with multiple links. Since Satyajit Ray is much more popular amongst non-Indian (Bengali) readers, I think hook is ok. I just wanna suggest to add the film's name too and remove his father's name. like ... that the Indian filmmaker Satyajit Ray (pictured) made his last documentary Sukumar Ray (film) in 1987 on his father, as a tribute to celebrate the centenary of his birth? --Tito Dutta (talk) 14:41, 26 October 2012 (UTC)
@Titodutta: I'm with you for too many links and also OK taking out Sukumar Ray's link. I'm not much comfortable with direct documentary link than 'last documentary'.- Vivvt • (Talk) 17:25, 26 October 2012 (UTC)
Ya, I have seen if there are multiple links in a hook, some readers get confused where to click ![citation needed] ignore the citation needed tag --Tito Dutta (talk) 17:31, 26 October 2012 (UTC)
ALT1:... that the Indian filmmaker Satyajit Ray (pictured) made his last documentary in 1987 on his father, as a tribute to celebrate the centenary of his birth? - Vivvt • (Talk) 07:16, 27 October 2012 (UTC)

Good to go, with the ALT1:... that the Indian filmmaker Satyajit Ray (pictured) made his last documentary in 1987 on his father, as a tribute to celebrate the centenary of his birth?
