  • Newness, sizeability, free image, references all good. However, the article is not presently within policy, as it has a warning cleanup template indicating the article is not categorized. It would also be preferable if the references were not bare URL's, though I don't think it's explicitly against DYK policy. Finally, I don't like this "would" verbage I see all over Wikipedia. I suggest... – Muboshgu (talk) 19:20, 21 February 2012 (UTC)
  • ALT1: ... that silleros carried European travelers across the Quindío pass on their backs?

Thanks for calling me out on the "would" the fact that I hate it when others write it apparently doesn't stop me from using it myself! I honestly haven't got any ideas about what categories this topic might fall under.·ʍaunus·snunɐw· 19:31, 21 February 2012 (UTC)
Happy to. I don't know where it should be categorized either, but it needs something. Something about transport or related to the location would work. And either ALT1 or ALT2 work fine, depending on how concise one wants the hook to be. – Muboshgu (talk) 19:35, 21 February 2012 (UTC)
I found a few ones that seem to fit. I prefer the longer version because it gives more context. Also fixed most of the bare refs.·ʍaunus·snunɐw· 19:45, 21 February 2012 (UTC)
It's up to whoever promotes this to choose between ALT1 and ALT2. This hook is now good to go. – Muboshgu (talk) 19:48, 21 February 2012 (UTC)
  • Is the word "travellers" in each hook correctly spelled or should it have a double "l" ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cwmhiraeth (talkcontribs) 06:50, February 23, 2012 (UTC)
According to my spell checker, the double l spelling is appropriate for UK English while the single l is American English. Given the location of the the hook, American English seems to be the correct choice. --Allen3 talk 11:06, 23 February 2012 (UTC)
