Ryan Peake[edit]

Peake playing guitar outdoors

  • ... that lead guitarist Ryan Peake (pictured) was responsible for funding Nickelback when they first formed?

Created by MrMovieSteve (talk), Bobamnertiopsis (talk). Nominated by Bobamnertiopsis (talk) at 22:46, 5 March 2015 (UTC).

The article was created 13 years ago; the recent "creation" was from a redirect. I am going to assume that this is acceptable per DYK rules, especially because the previous version was entirely unsourced. It is long enough, and neutrally written. The statements in the article are supported by the sources. The only duplication seems to be at Wikipedia mirrors. Couple of issues, though; I'm a little uncertain about the "EMGPickups" source, which looks like a company website; and this requires a QPQ, because the nominator has more than 5 DYKs, or I am missing something. Yup, I'll get on that QPQ ASAP. The EMG Pickups source, in addition to the Gibson source, are both corporate sources; I don't think they do anything to support the subject's notability but they were the only places I found info about the instruments he plays and because this is fairly noncontroversial information, I assumed it was okay to include them for this sort of info. Thanks for the review and I'll ping you when I finish the QPQ. Best, BobAmnertiopsisChatMe! 15:55, 7 March 2015 (UTC)
QPQ done, Vanamonde93. BobAmnertiopsisChatMe! 22:00, 10 March 2015 (UTC)
Indeed, the QPQ is complete. I have also checked that the image is free use, the hook is cited inline. In addition to my comments above, this means that Ryan Peake is GTG. Vanamonde93 (talk) 22:15, 10 March 2015 (UTC)
