  • Dates and lengths both good. AGF for hook fact and article content as article is referenced entirely to offline source. --Allen3 talk 14:57, 7 October 2013 (UTC)
  • I just looked at this to promote it, and found too many problematic sentences. In my opinion, the article needs a good copyedit before it is ready for Wikipedia's main page. BlueMoonset (talk) 00:24, 11 October 2013 (UTC)

  • I did a little bit just now, mostly to the fourth History paragraph. There are two problems I see. The first is that said fourth history paragraph does not have an inline source citation, and should by DYK standards. More important, the entire article is based on a single source. WP:DYKSG#D12 says "Multiple sources are generally required, to ensure the article meets the general notability guideline." Should we insist on at least one more source, or does this one book make the hunting lodge notable? BlueMoonset (talk) 22:09, 21 October 2013 (UTC)
  • Hmm. A Google Books search turns up lots of passing mentions (enough, I think, to establish notability), but not much in the way of usable sources. However, I've found two potentially interesting pay-per-view news sources, if anyone wants to shell out for them: "Red Army Captures Goring's Hunt Lodge" is bound to contain useful information, and "Goering: Lord of the Manor" definitely mentions Rominten, although I don't know in how much detail. I've also found what looks like a fairly comprehensive German-language source, "Des Kaisers liebstes Jagdrevier" (which Google translates as "The Emperor's favorite hunting ground"). Personally, I'd be inclined to let this article pass with just the one source, given the financial/language barriers restricting access to these other three, but I'll leave that for a more experienced reviewer to decide.   • Restoring approval, still AGF because although now online, the primary source (including for some hook facts) is in German and I don't read the language. Pay sources aren't necessary for DYK, especially as there is now a second source (and in English) that confirms the design information, which I've checked (I modified the url to be the one I could access; I hope that's okay).   • Needs a serious copyedit, English words should be used,if there is english translation of the title of the lodge for example, there is no need to use the German title everywhere. The same applies to title of locations where English names should be used as well. It also doesn't follow naming policy in regards to locations it describes.Plus based practically on single source. I might change my vote if the article is improved.--MyMoloboaccount (talk) 20:12, 22 October 2013 (UTC)
  • I don't think there's any substance to this complaint – BlueMoonset and I agree that no more copyediting is needed, and the sourcing isn't a problem. Can we get a fourth opinion? DoctorKubla (talk) 16:55, 29 October 2013 (UTC)
  • The article looks in very good shape now. There are no more grammatical or copyediting issues. I added information from 3 sources via Google Books to expand the sourcing a bit. The hook, though, is not catchy. What do you think about:

  • I was also reviewing this - unknowingly at the same time as Yoninah until I got the dreaded "edit conflict" message. I agree with DoctorKubla and BlueMoonset. The article is not yet perfect, but this is a DYK review not a GA review. The mix of anglicized and native placenames is a bit jerky but it is not unnatural that a large area such as Rominter Heath should have an English name whereas a small village such as Theerbude does not. I have added a translation of one more name, and located+cited a further English language source which is also in agreement with the article in general. Per DYK guidelines each paragraph has a citation, multiple sources are used, the coverage is reasonably comprehensive and there are no major grammar/spelling problems. As far as Yoninah's ALTs go, ALT2 is also in article, sourced and within length; I feel ALT1 is not all that attention-grabbing either, but with either ALT2 or the original, at the discretion of the promoting editor, good to go.
