Philadelphia municipal election, 1955, Victor H. Blanc[edit]

Created by Coemgenus (talk). Self-nominated at 19:56, 9 June 2015 (UTC).

  • These two articles are long enough and were new enough at the time of nomination. The hook facts are cited and accepted in good faith. The articles are neutral but the sources are mostly not accessible to me so I was unable to check for close paraphrasing. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:25, 11 July 2015 (UTC)
  • Note: added bolding to the Blanc piped link in ALT1; this is still a double nomination, yes? BlueMoonset (talk) 20:33, 11 July 2015 (UTC)
  • I'm not sure that's even that noteworthy—half the men running for office then were WWII vets—but if you think it's better, it's fine by me. --Coemgenus (talk) 12:54, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
  • The idea is not to write something informative, but a hook – something that will reel readers in. If you don't feel this is "hooky" enough, please suggest something else. I added the inline cites in case you want to go ahead with ALT1. Yoninah (talk) 19:23, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
  • It's cool. I struggled to find something hooky about it, so your suggestion is fine with me. --Coemgenus (talk) 23:09, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
Thanks. Since I wrote the hook, I can't approve it. Could another reviewer sign off on ALT1, please? Yoninah (talk) 09:53, 13 July 2015 (UTC) Good to go with ALT1 (hook facts are cited; although I can't check the sources there's no reason to doubt them). Belle (talk) 00:32, 15 July 2015 (UTC)
