Paul G. Risser[edit]

Created by Aboutmovies (talk). Self nominated at 06:01, 14 July 2014 (UTC).

  • All good, except for two point.
Good stuff first
  • QPQ met
  • Article is new enough -- created July 11, 2014
  • Exceeds 1500 character minimum: 2093 characters (351 words) "readable prose size"
  • Neutral, cites sources, appears to be free of close paraphrasing issues, copyright violations and plagiarism
  • Hook correctly formatted, and with 160 displayed characters is within limit.
  • Hook not stunningly interesting -- man had 3 senior posts in education -- but may be a bit unusual, so may interest some
  • Hook is neutral
  • The image in the article is "fair use" rather than free, but since it is not used in the hook, I think that is OK.
Now, the problems. Both minor, I hope:
  1. The sentence "In 2007, he left the chancellor's office[3]" does appear to be supported by the source. I have verified all the other refs, but that one doesn't reflect the source.
  2. The hook facts are all sourced in the body of the article, but some DYK reviewers like them to be sourced if mentioned in the lede. I am ambivalent about that requirement, but it might be a good idea to do it. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 17:40, 16 July 2014 (UTC)
As to #1, fixed, not sure where I had gotten the year before. Also added a ref to the lede. Aboutmovies (talk) 19:13, 16 July 2014 (UTC)
