  • ... that the Old Depot Museum featured the Esoteric and Terrible Order of Pie Eaters, a fraternity focused on pie eating and banishing women to New Jersey, in their exhibit on secret societies? Source: "...“Their ambitions didn’t end there,” the historical society wrote in the release. “The Pie Eaters had grand plans of doing away with currency and paying with pieces of glass, banishing all women to New Jersey, and achieving world domination while wearing pie plates around their necks and calling each other by titles like the ‘Grand Gyrasticutas’ and the ‘Grand Gabster.’ “" ([1])

  • New enough. Long enough. Well-cited. No problems with page. Hooks are interesting, and verified. I think the Alt1 has a wee promotional tone to it, so Alt0 seems best. No copyvio. Now only thing needed is QPQ. Then it should be G2G. DaltonCastle (talk) 19:28, 17 December 2016 (UTC)
  • I went ahead and did a QPQ on behalf of Kmwebber. The nomination is G2G now. DaltonCastle (talk) 19:38, 17 December 2016 (UTC)
  • Further discussion of hooks is necessary, since nominator has attempted to change the promotion of ALT1 by Cwmhiraeth to ALT0 instead in prep, and that is not allowed. I have therefore pulled this hook back from prep and reopened the nomination. BlueMoonset (talk) 16:50, 7 January 2017 (UTC) [added second sentence at 17:55, 7 January 2017 (UTC)]
Once again, I really am very sorry for changing the promotion, I did not realize that it was prohibited. I would love to see this work still featured as a DYK if someone would use either hook they find appropriate. All the best, Kmwebber (talk) 02:44, 8 January 2017 (UTC)Kmwebber BlueMoonset
